Quartz Fiber Wool

Quartz Fiber Wool is made from pure fused quartz fibers which are amorphous, continuous, tangled, wHe, odorless, without volatile component and no shot. Length, shape and arrangement of fibers give the wool its curly appearance preventing compression of the padding and improves its desired in sulating properties.

Properties:

l  High temperature use(1050°C long term, higher temperature possible in case of short term exposure )

l  Resistance to thermal shocks

l  Low thermal conductivity

l  High electrical resistivity

l  Low dielectric constant

l  Good chemical resistance

Application:

High temperature insulation

l  High temperature insulation for semiconductor and photovoltaic industry(heat baffle for example)

l  Filtration of hot acids and acidic gases

l  Catalytic support for vehicle catalytic converters

l  Furnace closures and insulation

Thermal protection

l  Thermal protection systems for launchers

l  Ablative material for military and aerospace structures
